SMR Impresa was founded in 2016 by Steven M. Ravanesi, a semi-retired infrastructure and

civil design engineer with 38 years of experience in the planning, design, permitting and

construction of both private and public infrastructure projects in suburban Chicago. Mr.

Ravanesi has been involved in 100s of projects during his career as a design/construction

consultant for many state, county, municipal, permitting, regulatory, environmental and utility

agencies. Mr. Ravanesi’s projects range from House Additions, Foundations, Home Remodels,

Room Upgrades, Cabinets, Flooring, Countertops, Garages, Sheds, Driveways, Landscape

Projects, Fences, Decks, Youth Baseball Fields, High School Football Fields, Shed Hill, Fishing

Piers, Public Bikepaths and Parking Lots to larger projects such as Subdivisions, Shopping

Centers, Roadways, Expressways, Retaining Walls, Bridges, Intersections, Interchanges,

Erosion Control, Drainage Improvements and Utility Relocations.

The word Impresa comes from the Italian word Impreiza, which means Company, Firm

Undertaking or Endeavour. The Spanish language has a similar word with a similar meaning;

Empresa.
